Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Acting for Global Screen (previously named as Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Global Acting) to be implemented in September 2020.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Acting for Global Screen is a unique, international, interdisciplinary “state-of-the-art” Bachelor of Fine Arts programme in acting, which combines acting training and performance studies, technology understanding and contemporary cultural reflection in its curriculum. It aims to be the most competitive undergraduate programme in acting performance, with cross-cultural and global enrichments that meet the needs of stage acting, acting with media technology and acting for screen in film industries for both local and non-local student.

interview and audition
After the application through JUPAS or Non-JUPAS, applicants are requested to submit portfolio related to the discipline, including acting training background, performing experience and awards received. If the submission of portfolio is missing, the application will not be further processed.

Admission Criteria (FOR JUPAS AppLICANTS)
For Hong Kong students taking HKDSE for admission via JUPAS, the Entrance Requirements are:

|Liberal Studies||Level 2|
|Any two elective subjects (Note 2)||Level 3|
1) Applicants who attained Level 4 at HKDSE English Language subject may also be considered if they have shown outstanding talents in their portfolio and during the admission interview and audition. They may be required to take make-up English classes after they are admitted to the University.
2) This programme will consider the following subjects as elective subject(s):
a) Any HKDSE Category A elective subjects including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2);
b) Applied Learning subjects at Attained with Distinction (I) or above;
c) Other Language subjects at Grade E or above.
Other Entrance Requirements
- High choice banding in JUPAS application is preferred;
Good results in English Language are preferred.
Academic Score Calculation
This programme considers the best 5 HKDSE subjects including English Language subject in Academic Score calculation.
ADMISSION CRITERIA (FOR NON-JUPAS APPLICANTS)
Applicants holding qualifications other than Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) may submit their applications via the Direct (Non-JUPAS) Admissions Scheme. For details, please visit: http://admissions.hkbu.edu.hk/en/.
The admission requirement for NJ applicants will follow University’s general requirement with a higher English requirement at an overall band 7.0 or above in IELTS Academic Test or equivalent.
Applicants who attained an overall band 6.5 in IELTS or with equivalent qualification may also be considered if they have shown outstanding talents in their portfolio and during the admission interview and audition. They may be required to take make-up English classes after they are admitted to the University.
