Bachelor of Communication (honours)- GAME DESIGN AND ANIMATION Major
programme-based Admission (JUPAS CODE: JS2370)
Game Design and Animation (GDA) Major adopts programme-based admission.
All eligible JUPAS applicants should submit their application via JUPAS's website at http://www.jupas.edu.hk/en/
Direct (Non-JUPAS) applicants should submit their application via Academic Registry's website at https://iss.hkbu.edu.hk/amsappl_nj/
Potential candidates will be invited for interview in individual/group format. They are required to present a "Letter of Intent" and their portfolios during the interview. The "Letter of Intent" has to state clearly their reasons for applying the programme and their career prospective after graduation under 200 words. The portfolios should be in digital format and demonstrate candidates' potential in creativity, visual and design literacy, animation, and/or game design.
For Hong Kong students taking HKDSE for admission via JUPAS, the Entrance Requirements are:

|Elective Subjects (2 subjects)||Level 3 (Note)|
1) The first elective must be any Category A subjects excluding Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2);
2) The second elective can be any of the following subjects:
a) Category A subjects including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2);
b) Related Applied Learning subjects (with "Attained with Distinction (I)" or above) listed in the following website: https://www.comm.hkbu.edu.hk/admission/images/Apl_subjects_2022_Entry.pdf
c) Other Language subjects at Grade E or above.
Other Entrance Requirements
In addition to the HKDSE results, the Game Design and Animation will take into consideration of the followings:
- High choice banding in JUPAS application is preferred;
- Good results in Chinese Language and English Language are preferred.
- Good results in relevant Applied Learning Subjects are preferred.
Academic Score Calculation
This programme considers the best 5 HKDSE subjects including Chinese Language and English Language subjects in Academic Score Calculation.
