MFA student Wu Boping, grabbed the Best Short Dramatic Film Award for My Blossoming Summer at the 13th Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival.
Dr. Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Honorary Consultant of the Academy, won the "Award for Best Director" at the Cannes Film Festival 2015 for "The Assassin". It was the third time in history that this award was presented to a Chinese director.
CTV graduate Mr. Steve Chan Chi-fat, winner of the First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI), was awarded HK$2 million by the Film Development Fund to produce his first commercial feature film, Weeds on Fire
