The Academy of Film is located in the newly built Communication and Visual Arts Building on the Baptist University Road Campus, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. For example, HKBU is among the first in the world to feature a Certificated Dolby Atmos sound mixing facility and was the first publicly funded university in Hong Kong to offer its students a HD television and film studio (the Jockey Club Television and Film Studio). These facilities give students hands-on experience of film production and familiarise them with the latest technological developments in the television and film industries.
