Academy of Film alumna Nicole Chu garners multiple awards with acclaimed short film

Nicole Chu (朱凯濙), an alumna of the Master of Fine Arts in Film, Television and Digital Media, continues to shine on the international stage with her award-winning short film After The Cat (《貓與雞》). The short film was recently honoured with the Fei Mu Awards · Best Short Film at the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival, one of Mainland China’s most prestigious and selective film festivals.

Beyond Pingyao, After The Cat has accumulated an impressive list of accolades. It received the Special Jury Award at the Kaohsiung Film Festival, was named Best Short Film at the Vita International Short Film Festival, and earned the Best Director Award at the Golden Harvest Awards. The film also won the Audience Award in Nowness Short Film Talents.
